FAQ
Ordering terms, technical selection and shipping documents — the questions overseas buyers ask us most.
Ordering & Pricing
Standard catalog products start from 10 pcs for sampling and 1 pallet (~30–50 pcs) for bulk orders. Custom (OEM) projects require a small engineering fee covered by your first production order.
In-stock models ship within 5–7 days. Production orders typically take 15–25 days, and container orders 20–30 days after deposit confirmation.
T/T (30% deposit, 70% before shipment), L/C at sight for larger orders, and PayPal/Wise for samples. For first-time buyers we welcome a third-party inspection (SGS/BV) before shipment.
Yes. Sampling starts from 10 pcs for standard catalog models. Sample lead time is typically 5–7 days for in-stock models and 15–25 days for custom configurations. We recommend testing samples for capacity, cycle behaviour and thermal performance before committing to a production order, and we can supply the matching test data on request.
Seven items: nominal voltage and capacity; continuous and peak discharge current; cell chemistry and any required cell model; physical constraints such as maximum dimensions, weight limit, mounting points and connector type; required communication protocol with the host device; operating temperature range and IP rating; and target quantity, destination country and required certification. If some are unknown, describe the application and daily duty cycle and we will propose a configuration.
Cells & Chemistry
In most cases yes, with three checks. Voltage: a 12.8 V LiFePO4 (4S) charges to 14.6 V and discharges to about 10 V, which suits equipment designed for 12 V lead-acid. Charging: lead-acid chargers use a three-stage profile that undercharges lithium, so a CC/CV charger matched to the BMS is required. Fit: the case footprint and terminal layout may differ, and lithium weighs roughly one-third as much, so mounting brackets often need adjusting.
Grade A cells meet the manufacturer's full specification for capacity, internal resistance and self-discharge and have never been cycled. Grade B cells fall slightly outside one or more parameters, most often 5–10% below nominal capacity. Grade C covers cells that failed capacity, safety or consistency inspection. Grade A is the correct choice for packs sold with a warranty, because cell inconsistency is the main cause of early pack failure.
At 80% depth of discharge and 25 °C, a good LiFePO4 pack delivers 3,000 to 5,000 cycles before capacity falls to 80% of nominal. Shallow cycling to 50% depth of discharge roughly doubles that figure. Continuous operation above 45 °C, charging below 0 °C, or high charge rates all shorten life. For daily cycling, size the pack so normal use stays within 70–80% depth of discharge.
Use a CC/CV charger with a 58.4 V output (16S × 3.65 V). Match the current to the pack using 0.2C to 0.5C: a 30 Ah pack charges at 6–15 A and a 100 Ah pack at 20–50 A. The charger must stop at 58.4 V rather than trickle-charging like a lead-acid charger, and must not charge below 0 °C unless the BMS includes low-temperature heating. Never use a charger whose output exceeds the BMS over-voltage protection threshold.
Packs & Custom OEM
The four most common causes are cell inconsistency in the original pack, moisture ingress through a poor seal, BMS failure from over-current during hard acceleration or regen, and vibration damage to spot welds and nickel strips. Prevention: specify Grade A cells with per-batch capacity and internal resistance data, require an IP-rated enclosure with a proper gasket, match the BMS continuous current rating to at least 1.5 times the controller peak draw, and add mechanical support so the cell stack cannot move inside the case.
In hot climates LiFePO4 handles ambient temperatures up to about 50 °C, but continuous operation above 45 °C accelerates capacity fade, so derate the continuous discharge current by 10–20% and avoid direct sun on the enclosure. In cold climates discharge works down to about −20 °C, but charging below 0 °C causes lithium plating and permanent damage, so a BMS with low-temperature charge cut-off is mandatory. For regular sub-zero charging, specify a pack with an integrated heating film or consider LTO chemistry.
Required capacity in kWh equals daily consumption divided by usable depth of discharge divided by system efficiency, multiplied by the days of autonomy you want. Example: 12 kWh daily consumption, 80% usable depth of discharge, 90% round-trip efficiency and one day of autonomy gives 12 / 0.8 / 0.9 = about 16.7 kWh, so a 15–20 kWh system is the right size. For two days of backup, double it.
Yes. We support OEM/ODM — custom enclosure dimensions, connectors, voltage/capacity, label artwork, packaging and even BMS firmware parameters. Send us a drawing or sample for a feasibility review.
Shipping, Quality & Trust
Yes, and most of our long-term customers have. Our production base is at Xinhuiyuan Industrial Park, Qianshan, Anqing, Anhui, China (about 100 mu, roughly 66,700 m²), with cell and PACK production lines and complete equipment. Please give us a few days' notice so we can arrange the production line walk-through and prepare the test data for the models you are considering. You can review incoming inspection and end-of-line test records during the visit. If travel is not practical we can arrange a live video walk-through, but we recommend an on-site visit before your first container order.
UN38.3, CE, RoHS, IEC 62619/62133, and UL options depending on the model. ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 cover our factory systems. MSDS, test reports and certificates of origin are provided per shipment.
Standard 5-year warranty (some models 10 years). A dedicated after-sales engineer assists via phone, WhatsApp or email with remote BMS diagnostics; failed units are replaced free within the warranty period.
Sea freight for lithium batteries requires a UN38.3 Test Summary, a Safety Data Sheet, and a dangerous goods declaration for Class 9. Packaging must pass a 1.2 m drop test and carry the correct Class 9 label and UN number. Sea freight permits a higher state of charge than air freight, so packs normally ship at 30–50% SOC. Undeclared lithium shipments are refused by most carriers and attract heavy fines.
Four checks you can complete yourself. Look up the unified social credit code on China's National Enterprise Credit Information Publicity System. Verify the factory address on the map and request a live video walk-through rather than a pre-recorded video. Ask for certificate numbers such as UN38.3, IEC 62619 and ISO 9001 and confirm them with the issuing laboratory. Request the inspection records for a recent production batch, and consider a third-party inspection by SGS or BV before shipment.
